On a gentle walk just 900 metres from Fingal Beach lies Ancora, a calming and relaxing space to enjoy with friends or family. Meaning anchor in Italian, Ancora is a place to drop your anchor, after long sun-soaked days at the beach. Rinse off under the outdoor shower after your morning swim or jog along the beach and plan your day with an early morning coffee on the balcony capturing cooling coastal breezes and delightful district views over the Tomaree National Park.

Fully air-conditioned and styled with quality fittings and furniture throughout, Ancora has considered guest comfort at every level. Ascend the front stairs from the landscaped gardens below, to a family-friendly living space. Large sliding glass doors, lead onto the front balcony and make the most of its elevated position to capture light and illuminate the interior. A well-equipped kitchen and dining setting is set to the rear with three generous bedrooms, laundry and a bathroom adjoining the combined kitchen/dining. The master offers a plush king bed with ensuite and is elegantly designed with your holiday needs in mind. The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed next to the main bathroom and the third bedroom has two king singles and two trundles (please note trundle beds are best suited to children only).

This delightful light-filled home has a pleasant outdoor entertaining area with enough outdoor seating to accommodate all guests. The overhead pergola makes it easy to cater for all weather events, so you can enjoy a BBQ and outdoor entertaining uninterrupted.

Ancora is perfectly positioned to make the most of your time in Fingal Bay. A few hundred meters from the golden sands of Fingal Bay Beach it’s also close to Fingal Park and morning coffee from Longboat Cafe. Explore the endless bush, bike and running trails that criss-cross the area or enjoy the amazing coastal walk beginning at nearby Tomaree National Park and Barry Park. This is also an excellent vantage point for whale watching during the annual migration or just great for a family BBQ and snorkelling. In the afternoon, the girls can head down for cocktails overlooking stunning Fingal Beach at Saltwater or an early meal with the family at the Fingal Sport and Rec club less than two kilometres away.

The delightful shops of Market Street are just around the corner with a Friendly Grocer, Newsagent, local fuel stop and Cellar Café for something casual or the more formal setting of Saltwater restaurant all close by. A little further down the road is Shoal Bay, with a decent choice of Mediterranean inspired food options or modern pub fare. The kids will love jumping from the jetty here while mum and dad enjoy the local gelato. However you like to spend your time, Ancora is the perfect location to base yourself while you explore this Blue Water paradise.

To ensure the comfort of our guests and the neighbours, we do not accept bookings for "Schoolies" breaks/under 21yrs groups and under no circumstances do we allow weddings or parties of any sort.

Payment for the booking warrants you and all guests staying will abide by the Code of Conduct for Short Term Rental Accommodation which can be viewed under the Guest Information tab on our website or a link which will be sent to you in your booking confirmation email.

This property is a holiday rental, it is not a principal place of residence and there are no shared rooms. Enjoy your time in comfort and privacy.

Terms and conditions apply for this property and payment warrants your agreement and that of all other guests staying at the property with you.

The guest limits apply at all times during the booking. Any extra guests (this includes day visitors) above those that have been booked and paid for must be approved in writing prior to the stay. Only the guests staying at the property are permitted to be present. If you wish to have visitors in addition to booked guests, you must advise us in writing prior to your stay and ensure you receive written permission. This is not possible at all properties.

NSW Planning has passed laws that affect guests. The Code of Conduct for holiday renting can be found on our website under the Guest Information tab. In Section 2.5.2 of the STR Code of Conduct, guests have an obligation to ensure the peace and comfort of neighbours and other occupants of the premises (if strata) near holiday rental properties. This means guests have to be very mindful of noise made in or outside the property that can disrupt neighbours at any time of the day.

If you or any other guest receives a warning regarding excess noise or excess guests, you may be asked to leave the property immediately with no refund of monies. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited.

This property is approved for accommodation only. No mattresses, tents, caravans or more cars than the property accommodates are allowed. Under no circumstances are the following activities permitted at any of our properties: motorbikes, dirt bikes, quad bikes, use of firearms or air rifles, fireworks.

Our standard check-in time is 4 pm and check out time is 10 am. We can offer you a complimentary early check-in or late check out time as a gesture of goodwill where booking and housekeeping schedules allow. Please call our team to request this prior to your arrival. Please note that due to demand and housekeeping pressures, no early check ins or late check outs will be granted during the months of December and January. The safest way to secure a later check out or early check in is to book the property for an extra night, please contact us to see if we can offer a special rate for this extra night. Please note that Sunday late check outs must be requested and approved prior to 5 pm on the Friday evening of that week.

Out of peak season stays of a week or more may qualify for a discount, please send us a message.

For your added security, this property is managed by a Licensed Real Estate Agent. We will never request payments be made to an overseas bank account and your money is held safely in our Trust Account until after your departure.

I stayed at Ancora at Fingal Bay with friends for a long weekend and it was magical. Beds are super comfy and the view towards Tomaree mountain is beautiful. The beach is only a short walk from the house and Barry Park Trail is a great walk and easy to get to from the house. Fingal Bay is so unspoiled - an easy drive from Sydney but a million miles from the normal day to day. I’ll definitely be back!

After a year of a mixture of home schooling and working from home, Ancora was the ideal palace for us to take a break over new year, It was an easy flat walk to the spectacular Fingal Bay Beach and the outdoor shower was ideal for our 2 very active boys to wash off under after time at the beach. The beds and lounge area were extremely comfortable, plenty of capacity on the wifi for games and computers and the small touches like the voucher for the Two Bobs Bread made it a more enjoyable stay.
