Description

Bellara is aboriginal for good and what an understatement that is! In a beautiful and private setting on the slopes of Mount Gibraltar, Bellara is quiet, peaceful and restful. Beautiful treetops can be seen from every window. The living room has north-facing balconies capturing dappled sunlight through the trees and the dining room opens out to a large entertaining deck set amongst the gum trees. Venture a little further up the slope and you find the terrace complete with fire pit and a wonderful open-air setting from which to marvel at the night stars.

With 3 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs and 2 bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs, there is room for up to 10 guests. The kitchen is fully and thoughtfully equipped and the bedrooms are warm and comfortable. The property is fully fenced and pet friendly and there is also a separate garden enclosure ideal for dogs.

Not far from the property are the fire-trails of the Gib, which make for excellent exploring, and down the hill; it's a 3-minute drive or a 15-minute stroll to town and Mittagongs popular cafes. Try the Shaggy Cow for great bakery delights or the Station Coffee House for famous coffee. A little further again and Lake Alexandra is a well-known local playground for ducks and birdlife great for picnics and walking the dogs. Bowral is only a 6-minute drive, yet Bellara gives you the distinct impression you are miles away from anywhere.

To ensure the comfort of our guests and the neighbours, we do not accept bookings for "Schoolies" breaks/under 21yrs groups and under no circumstances do we allow weddings or parties of any sort.

If you or any other guest receives a warning regarding excess noise or excess guests, you may be asked to leave the property IMMEDIATELY with no refund of monies. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.

This property is approved for accommodation only. No mattresses, tents, caravans or more cars than the property accommodates are allowed. Under no circumstances are the following activities permitted at any of our properties: motorbikes, dirt bikes, quad bikes, use of firearms or air rifles, fireworks.

Great location as it is 2 mins drive to Mittagong and 10 mins to Bowral. Bush surrounding property makes it seem a remote location but is close to amenities

Very comfortable and relaxing space and a well appointed home. Enjoyed a wood fire pit up the back of house in evening and very convenient to the activities offered in the southern highlands.

A great choice for a medium group to enjoy a relaxing time in the area. The property was spacious and clean and communication from the hosts were clear and timely. Would note for those driving low or older cars that the driveway is quite steep and narrow, combined with the gravel, it was a little difficult for some of our cars to get in and out of the property. With that said there was enough space for our 4 cars and overall we really enjoyed our stay.

This is great house for a get-away. The house is spacious, with good indoor and outdoor living areas. Well equipped, with plenty of extras provided. We would definitely rent this property again.

A most enjoyable and relaxing the stay. The location is perfect for a relaxing with adequate privacy but within walking distance to cafes. Fire trails for hiking within a short stroll. The hosts have provided everything you need for cooking at home which made it super easy. There was even chopped wood for the fire pit. The home is spacious and relaxing. A most enjoyable stay. I would return again! Thank you.

Great house for a winter weekend away with friends. Huge house, large bathrooms. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Supermarket and cafes close by. Even managed to get the outdoor fire pit working despite the wet weather!
