Taking its name from the quiet lane way which runs beside the Bowral Hospital, Mona is a delightful 3-bedroom house, styled and furnished with sophistication and flair. It is ideally situated just 850 metres from Bowral’s Bong Bong Street with its boutiques, galleries, antiques, restaurants and cafes.

The house itself has been freshly painted inside and out, with newly renovated kitchen and bathroom. It is light, bright and airy with double French doors bringing the sunshine into the open plan kitchen dining area. The living area is comfortable with flat screen TV, DVD and stereo. The kitchen is well equipped and a joy to cook in. The 3 comfortable queen bedrooms with luxurious linens are serviced by a beautiful main bathroom with clawfoot bath, an ensuite off the master bedroom and an additional WC in the new and fully equipped laundry. There is cosy central heating throughout.

Mona is ideal for accommodation for up to 3 couples, smaller sized families or a few ladies wanting to enjoy all Bowral has to offer, perhaps on foot. The double sofa bed provides flexibility for an additional adult or children. Mona is situated across the road from the public and private hospital precinct so is also ideal for longer term guests visiting or working in the hospital and allied services.

There is no back garden to speak of and no outdoor entertaining area yet (…watch this space, this is coming in phase two of our launch), but Mona is ideally situated just 130 metres from children’s playgrounds at both Bradman Oval and Loseby Park. For the sports fanatics there is Bradman Museum & International Cricket Hall of Fame and there are also tennis courts for hire and a skate park at Loseby Park. The Cherry Tree walking/bike track is also close by. Best of all is the eclectic “Hospital Shop café” located right next door to Mona. This is a well-kept local secret – a hub for morning coffee, the best homemade cakes and morning tea delights, a range of aptly named burgers (the ambo, the reviver and so on!) and to make life really easy, an array of freshly home cooked and snap frozen dinner meals – ideal for those with an agenda that does not involve cooking!

So whatever your reason to visit the Highlands – take a look at Mona; centrally located, newly renovated, clean and fresh with something for everyone nearby.

If you wish to have visitors in addition to booked guests, you must advise us in writing prior to your stay and ensure you receive written permission. This is not possible at all properties.

If you or any other guest receives a warning regarding excess noise or excess guests, you may be asked to leave the property IMMEDIATELY with no refund of monies. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.

This property is approved for accommodation only. No mattresses, tents, caravans or more cars than the property accommodates are allowed. Under no circumstances are the following activities permitted at any of our properties: motorbikes, dirt bikes, quad bikes, use of firearms or air rifles, fireworks.

My friend and I stayed in Bowral in a cottage called Mona. We had a wonderful time and the accommodation was excellent. It is a very comfortable, newly renovated 3-bedroom cottage with the highest standard of finish, style and furniture. The kitchen was fully equipped, including coffee machine & dishwasher, together with a central bench with additional drawers including stools. All appliances were top of the range. On our arrival we were greeted with a range of cheeses and biscuits. The pantry also had tea and coffee together with a supply of condiments which was a very pleasant surprise.

The three bedrooms were great all with queen size beds and ample supply of linen and blankets. The main bedroom had an en suite while the other bedrooms had the use of the main large bathroom including a freestanding clawfoot bath. There was also an additional toilet in the fully equipped laundry. The lounge room also had a double sofa bed and the lounges were very comfortable with TV, DVD and stereo provided. The dining room and kitchen areas opened out onto a front courtyard. Mona has full central heating which kept us very warm and there was parking at the rear for 3 cars.

Mona is centrally located near the Hospital with a great coffee shop next door with home made cakes and great coffee. It is a 15-minute easy walk into Bowral or a 5 minute drive. It is within walking distance of a park and oval and the Don Bradman museum and cricket hall of fame.

My friend and I cannot recommend highly enough with its ideal location, first class renovations and furniture together with central heating plus all the additional extras.
