York Cottage, built around 1936, was originally a grand gate house for a larger property. Since being subdivided it still retains 2 acres of beautiful, landscaped gardens overlooking glorious farming pastures framed with rolling green hills behind.

The house features the Tudor Rose architectural motif, William Morris decor and period features such as decorative doors, high ceilings, original wood paneling, intricate friezes and an impressive slow-combustion fireplace.

All this and only a 5-minute drive to Bowral CBD and 10-minute drive to Centennial Vineyards.

With 5 spacious bedrooms sleeping 12 plus an additional sofa bed in one of the bedrooms. Set in gorgeous gardens with features such as a pavilion, pond with bridge, country style tennis court, swing set, shady trees and magnificent rural views.

The property is 10 minutes from Centennial Vineyards and ideal wedding guest accommodation.The Great Southern Railway line runs by the house, making it a train spotters paradise. The occasional passage of the XPT and a few rambling freight trains add excitement and an air of romance to the country atmosphere.

This property is a holiday rental, it is not a principal place of residence and there are no shared rooms. Enjoy your time in comfort and privacy.

The guest limits apply at all times during the booking. Any extra guests (this includes day visitors) above those that have been booked and paid for must be approved in writing prior to the stay. If you wish to have visitors in addition to booked guests, you must advise us in writing prior to your stay and ensure you receive written permission. This is not possible at all properties.

If you or any other guest receives a warning regarding excess noise or excess guests, you may be asked to leave the property IMMEDIATELY with no refund of monies. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.

This property is approved for accommodation only. No mattresses, tents, caravans or more cars than the property accommodates are allowed. Under no circumstances are the following activities permitted at any of our properties: motorbikes, dirt bikes, quad bikes, use of firearms or air rifles, fireworks.

Beautiful house on acreage with amazing garden

Charming property but in need of some TLC. Great sized bedrooms! And super comfy beds and what a beautiful view of the country side to wake up too! Would definitely stay again! However train line and crossing right next to house made sleeping a little challenging at times. Can’t be helped though worth mentioning for light sleepers and families with bubs.

We enjoyed our time here. The ground were great and had a great arvo hitting on the tennis court. Heaps of wood for those cold night and loved the heated floor in the dining. It is a old home and some quirky things throughout the home
