Code of Conduct

Please take a moment to read the relevant Code of Conduct for the Short-Term Rental Accommodation Industry, which outlines important behaviour standards for all guests.

For New South Wales: The Code of Conduct applies to all stays from October 2021 onwards and has been passed into law by the NSW Parliament. Read the Code of Conduct for NSW for Short Term Rental Accommodation here.

It sets out clear expectations for guest behaviour, including:

        • Avoiding noise that unreasonably disrupts neighbours
        • Preventing damage to the property or common areas
        • Taking responsibility for the actions of all visitors

For Victoria: While Victoria does not currently have a state-wide code identical to NSW, local councils may impose specific rules and expectations for short-term rental guests. We encourage all guests staying in Victoria to familiarise themselves with local regulations and respect the peace and comfort of surrounding residents.

Failure to comply with the relevant code or local rules may result in penalties, including fines, eviction, or being added to an exclusion register.
